As part of the wider Abu Dhabi Courthouse Complex, the Detainees Building was designed with a focus on durability, security, and architectural clarity. A key feature of the building was its terracotta façade, specified for its longevity, low maintenance, and visual identity.
Omar Khoury served as Project Manager for the façade package, overseeing the delivery, technical coordination, and execution of the terracotta cladding system — manufactured in Italy.
Logistics & Supplier Coordination
Omar worked closely with the Italian manufacturer to ensure timely and accurate delivery of the prefabricated façade system. He handled logistics, documentation, and site readiness for material reception.
Technical Integration & Site Readiness
He coordinated with consultants, engineers, and the contractor to align the terracotta system with the building’s structural and architectural details, resolving technical clashes and ensuring install-readiness.
On-Site Execution with Specialist Support
Omar partnered with a technical expert dispatched by the supplier to supervise the installation process. He led site teams, monitored daily progress, and upheld installation quality based on the manufacturer's standards.
